Precision, quality, and a complete overview are essential when producing ISIC’s hardware. Every day, this responsibility is carried by dedicated specialists, and one of them is Mikkel Thomassen. Over the past five years, he has taken a clear step forward in production, moving from a new assembler to a key employee responsible for ISIC’s largest and most complex monitors. Mikkel plays a central role in daily operations. His responsibilities have grown in line with his curiosity, commitment, and ambition to develop. This is exactly why he became the natural choice as deputy for Production Manager Louise Jensen – a role that clearly reflects both his overview and his importance to the department.
When Mikkel started at ISIC, he had no experience with assembly work. However, he had strong drive and a clear desire to learn. This mindset has shaped his journey at ISIC. As he gained experience, both the responsibility and complexity of his tasks increased. As he describes it himself:
“It was a requirement from my side that ISIC should fill my backpack with skills and experience so I could handle the tasks I do today. I’m happy that ISIC has provided me with the opportunity to grow and has shown great trust in both me and my work.”
“I’m extremely proud and grateful for the trust they place in me and for the opportunities they’ve given me to grow and take on more responsibility. But it also comes down to personal ambition – how much you want to move forward,” he says.
Today, Mikkel is responsible for assembling the two largest monitors, the DuraMON 32” S-line and the DuraMON 55” S-line, which require a high level of technical overview and great patience. He typically works independently on these processes, as the products are more extensive than the smaller units.
“When I work on the large monitors, the workflow is not always linear. It requires you to continuously stop, evaluate the process, and ensure that everything is completed exactly right- and that’s something I find both exciting and educational,” he explains.
Mikkel’s extensive work also makes him an important sparring partner for the Development department and Quality & Compliance, especially when new products are being prepared for production.

Mikkel’s deep understanding of production processes and workflows quickly made him the obvious choice as deputy for Production Team Leader, Louise Jensen.
“It was always clear to me that Mikkel was the right person to step in as my deputy. He knows the production very well and maintains a strong overview. That’s why I feel confident knowing that Mikkel can take over whenever I’m not around,” explains Louise Jensen.
In this role, Mikkel oversees the coordination of multiple production lines and helps ensure smooth day‑to‑day operations in a busy environment. For him, the job is not only about responsibility, but just as much about teamwork and the challenges that make the tasks engaging. For Mikkel, it is the combination of responsibility, strong mutual trust, and professional challenges that makes the work meaningful. And with his engagement, curiosity, and strong overview, he helps set the framework for production – both in everyday operations and when new tasks require focus, structure, and experience.
