Located in the south of Denmark, in the city of Sønderborg, Saab Danmark A/S enjoys a stunning view across Als Sund. Recently, we had the pleasure of visiting Saab Danmark where we had the chance to discuss their vision, contributions to the defence sector, and their partnership with ISIC - learning more about the ways in which they have benefited from this collaboration.

The partnership between Saab Danmark and ISIC began in 2014 when we first made contact. At the time, Saab had been producing the hardware for their integrated communication solutions in-house. However, in 2012, they ceased production and began outsourcing their electronics. Saab Danmark was then seeking monitors that could meet the demanding requirements of the defence sector. Recognising ISIC's expertise and ability to deliver high-quality, Danish-produced ruggedized hardware, Saab Danmark saw the potential for collaboration. The initial contact was made, and together we began exploring opportunities based on each other's needs and capabilities.

 

Since 2014, a lot has changed, and the partnership between Saab Danmark and ISIC has flourished. In 2021, we embarked on our first project together developing 12.1" user panel PCs. ISIC collaborated closely with Saab Danmark to meet their specific criteria and requirements. According to Peter Lambertsen from Procurement at Saab Danmark, the project was a success. He enjoyed working with ISIC and was fully satisfied with the results of the project. As Peter mentioned:

 

“We are really pleased with ISIC's quality - not only in terms of their products but also in the way they work and their supply chain in general, which fits perfectly with our expectations.”

 

This trust led Saab Danmark to reach out to ISIC once again in 2023 for a new project involving 15.6” panel PCs with several customisations, including a voice control system. Peter Lambertsen explains that their software systems require a high level of security, among other factors, stating:

 

“And that’s where I think the collaboration between ISIC and Saab Danmark becomes strong, because ISIC has understood that these are the limitations needed to keep it secure.”

 

ISIC not only helped meet these security requirements but also provided innovative suggestions and ideas for improving the product’s efficiency. According to Peter Lambertsen, these are just a few of the reasons Saab Danmark is highly satisfied with the partnership. He also highlights that ISIC consistently delivers within the agreed timeframe, adding, “It's different from other suppliers in the industry.” Overall, he notes how ISIC reliably honours their commitments and delivers as planned.

 

Saab Danmark values efficient, direct communication and long-term partnerships, which is why Peter Lambertsen states, “I can see plenty of future projects with ISIC in the pipeline.” We at ISIC couldn’t agree more. It is a pleasure working together to develop secure solutions for demanding environments and industries in collaboration with highly skilled professionals. We look forward to many more projects with Saab Danmark and to a long-lasting partnership.
