ISIC A/S and Terma have entered into a strategic partnering agreement

Aarhus, Denmark – Today, the two companies ISIC A/S and Terma A/S have entered into a strategic partnering agreement. As a result of this agreement, the two companies further strengthen a well-established collaboration. ISIC, headquartered in Brabrand near Aarhus, Denmark, is a leading Danish supplier of computers and monitors for the defense and marine sectors and industrial customers. These sectors require reliable equipment that must operate in extremely demanding environments.

Since 2006, ISIC has provided various types of custom-made computers which are applied in Terma’s radar systems and in command and control systems for naval vessels. Within the last two years, the collaboration has evolved from a supplier relationship into a true partnership.

Jens Husted, Vice President, Supply Chain and Procurement in Terma, explains: “We have a good collaboration with ISIC. Over a number of years, ISIC has demonstrated the ability and willingness to supply the custom-made computer solutions we require. ISIC has gradually completed more and more complex tasks for us, and on their own initiative, they contribute to design and development with their valuable domain knowledge.”

“We aim to establish close and long-term relationships with high-tech companies in the sectors, we address, i.e. the defense area, the marine and the industrial sectors. Therefore, we emphasize being in close dialog with our customers and develop products based on customer requirements and needs,” says President and CEO Bo Lander Rasmussen, ISIC. He continues: “We have benefited significantly from our collaboration with Terma. We have to meet strict quality and documentation requirements which we also benefit from in other contexts. The positive development in our collaboration with Terma is possible because the entire organization and the processes, we use, support Terma´s requirements for high quality in all phases”, he says.

The continued closer relationship is formalized in a Memorandum of Understanding which was signed today at ISIC. The agreement implies that the partners agree on the continuation and expansion of the collaboration.

”For Terma, it is crucial that we have competent and reliable partners such as ISIC which can deliver advanced computer equipment for our solutions and systems. Radar systems are often placed in environments with very harsh weather, and we must guarantee our customers that the equipment works in all weather conditions. This is one of the reasons for ISIC being a key collaboration partner for Terma”, says Jørn Henrik Levy Rasmussen, Vice President, Terma Global.

“High-tech jobs are also part of the recipe for creating growth and jobs in Denmark, so we are very excited to take the next step and together look at the future requirements for advanced technology”.

New DuraMON26WS with LED backlight and fan-less operation, now available from ISIC

We are pleased to announce that the marine-testing according to IEC60945 and IACS E10, as well as validation for RADAR and ECDIS, of the DuraMON26WS LED 16:10 monitor has been successfully completed. Once again, our proven and well recognized technology has provided the basis for a seamless and fast test process.

With the DuraMon26WS LED, ISIC sets the new standard for Category 1 Radar and ECDIS wide screen monitors. With its low power consumption, the DuraMON26WS LED obviates the use of cooling fans providing silent/noiseless operation. In addition, the LED backlight secures a longer service life in general, compared to current CCFL solutions. The mechanical design is slim and lightweight, and the display has got excellent and symmetrical viewing angle. Furthermore, the low power consumption and Mercury free design provide a more environmental and friendly product in operation as well as during disposal after the end of service life.

ISIC A/S announces the appointment of a new sales representative for the North American market.

We are pleased to announce that Mr. Allen Amos has joined the sales and marketing force as our Sales representative in the US.
Mr. Allen Amos brings extensive experience working with sales and customer service related to ruggedized hardware and is eager to leverage his years of marketing experience in particular for the Marine market.
